Air Jordan is a brand of shoes and athletic clothing designed, owned, and produced by Nike and Michael Jordan for Nike's Jordan Brand subsidiary.

Since its introduction into the sports shoe market, the Air Jordan evolved to the original basketball shoes to models for different uses, including training and casual shoes, including a retro line.

History

The Air Jordan 1 was first released in 1985, in a red and black colorway to match the uniform of the Chicago Bulls, the team for which Michael Jordan played.

Michael Jordan stepped onto the court wearing the Black and Red Air Jordan 1 which was banned by the NBA for not matching the on court dress code. 

Nike launched a multi-million dollar campaign selling the public that the Air Jordan 1′s were so great that they were illegal and Nike was also more than willing to pay Jordan’s tab of $5,000 per game fine for wearing the Air Jordan 1.
Nike used this as a promotional tool in advertisements.

Who is creator?

The Air Jordan 1 was designed by Peter Moore. 
Though many people associate Tinker Hatfield(Famous Nike Designer) with the Air Jordan shoe line, Peter Moore was the designer of the Air Jordan 1′s.
But nowadays, Peter Moore is best known for his former positions as Corporate Vice-President of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business division, overseeing the Xbox and Xbox 360 game consoles.
On 17 July 2007, Moore announced his resignation from Microsoft. 

My Collection

I have Two Air jordan 1 Series.
Left is AJ 1 Chicago, Right is AJ1 Blacktoe. 
I had purchased that in Nike basketball store of Korea. The Air Jordan 1 first released in 1985. So they're older than me. 
But the design is still very cool, fashionable. Furthermore, Michael Jordan began the road of legend with these shoes.
For this reason, Still many sneakers mania love this AJ1.
